"A Moment's Grace"

This 14"x17" work is the inaugural piece in my ongoing "Hands" series. Executed in graphite and charcoal and accented with soft blue and green pastels, the work explores the tender relationship between humanity and nature.

High-quality giclee prints are available here! The original is also available for purchase.

"Sacred Geometry - Carlson's Touch"

This 22" x 30"piece, the second in the "Hands" series, was inspired after listening to Randall Carlson speak on the use of sacred geometry in buildings and artwork. Sacred geometry holds that certain geometric shapes and proportions have deep meaning and purpose. One such proportion is "The Golden Spiral" which is a spiral whose growth ratio is "The Golden Ratio" which is 1.618...

This ratio can be found throughout nature including proportions found in the human body, the placement of sunflower seeds, the spiral of nautilus shells, hurricanes, even galactic shapes. The tattoos in this work represents the golden spiral. And the 'pinkie' finger being replaced by a thumb speaks to the idea that this is neither a 'left' hand nor 'right' hand, but rather a 'centered' hand.

This work took the first place overall ribbon in the Lancaster County Art Association Spring Membership Exhibition held in the Kaufman Gallery in Strasburg, PA. There are no plans to reproduce this as a print at the moment, but if you are interested please let me know via the contact section. The original is available for purchase.

"Poseidon And Charybdis"

This 22" x 30" piece is the fourth in the "Hands" series. Based on Greek mythology, this is actually a portrait of a father and his daughter. Poseidon, god of the seas, and his daughter, Charybdis, who takes the form of a whirlpool

"Lafayette in Lancaster" is a significant commissioned piece that honors the 200th anniversary of Lafayette's farewell tour of America. During this historic journey, Lafayette visited Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in July 1825. A memorable moment occurred when a student read a heartfelt letter to the esteemed French general at a local school he visited. This artwork encapsulates the spirit of that occasion and serves as a tribute to Lafayette's enduring legacy in America. Included in a commemorative book, the piece not only highlights Lafayette’s connection to Lancaster but also celebrates the importance of fellowship and gratitude in shaping American history. The commemoration continues to engage the community, inviting reflection on Lafayette's contributions and the values he embodied during his travels across the nation. The original is available for purchase.

Until recently, all of my work has been private commissions and personal pieces. Here are a few of these I've done in the past.
